You should be careful to differentiate between "gambling" and "gaming" stocks. Gambling stocks are often referred to as "gaming" stocks within the financial circles. But the term "gaming stocks" can also refer to video game stocks, such as Atari.

  • International Game Technology (IGT) is large manufacturer of slot machines (and more).

  • Entertainment Gaming Asia (EGT) owns and leases electronic gaming machines (EGMs) in resorts, hotels, and other venues in Cambodia and the Philippines. They operate casinos in the Indo-China region under the Dreamworld brand, and manufactures and sells RFID and traditional gaming chips and plaques to casinos under the Dolphin brand.

  • Scientific Games Corporation (SGMS) develops technology-based products and services for the gaming and lottery industries worldwide, including gaming machines, automatic card shufflers, roulette chip sorters, server-based gaming systems and content, and more.

  • Boyd Gaming (BYD) owns and operates 21 gaming entertainment properties located in Nevada, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and New Jersey. It also owns and operates a travel agency in Hawaii; and the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

  • Caesars Entertainment (CZR) owns and operates over 50 casinos and hotels, and seven golf courses under several brands. The company, based in Paradise, Nevada, is the fourth-largest gaming company in the world

  • Melco Crown Entertainment (MPEL) operates casino resorts in Asia.

  • Penn National Gaming (PENN) owns and operates 26 facilities (casinos and racetracks) in 18 states, and manages one casino in Canada.

  • Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. (PNK) owns and operates 15 gaming entertainment properties, located in Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada and Ohio.

  • Las Vegas Sands (LVS) is one of the leading global developers of casino and destination resort properties. Its resorts feature high-end accommodations, gaming and entertainment, convention and exhibition facilities, celebrity chef restaurants and clubs, as well as an art and science museum in Singapore. It has several resorts in the United States and Asia.

  • Wynn Resorts (WYNN) is a developer and operator of high end hotels and casinos.

  • MGM (MGM) owns and operates 15 properties in Nevada, Mississippi, and Michigan, and has 50% investments in four other properties in Nevada, Illinois and Macau, China.

Gambling Stocks on Foreign Exchanges

Since online gambling has a lot of regulatory trouble in the US, many online gambling companies trade on foreign exchanges, mostly in Europe and Canada. In order to buy stocks in these companies, you need to trade through a broker which specifically offers access to stocks on foreign exchanges.
